Microsoft Trying to Buy Adobe

Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer recently met secretly with the chief executive of Adobe, Shantanu Narayen, to discuss how the two companies can join to fight Apple, and the possibility of purchasing the Flash developer.

Ballmer, flanked by a small team of deputy, approached Adobe, according to sources familiar with the problem. The meeting lasts more than an hour, and includes topics related to Apple's dominance in the mobile market, Apple's chief executive ban, Steve Jobs on Flash, and partnerships that may or acquisition directly from Adobe.

Redmond software giant Adobe has appealed in the past. But the deal did not come to the result, for fear of Microsoft faces antitrust charges from the U.S. Department of Justice. At that time, Microsoft is the dominant technology company, before Google and Apple gain a large portion of the smartphone market.

Today, Microsoft has fallen far behind the two companies, despite hoping to play fortune with the new operating system launched its mobile, called Windows Phone 7, due out next week.

The agreement can be worth more than $ 15 billion based on Adobe stock price at this time.
